Christmas Countdown - 9 days

Hello my friends.... I wish you to have a wonderful Sunday afternoon!
I love so much those Christmas gingerbread cookies. So, I tried this morning to make some, so as to gift them to my family and friends, with some other Christmas goodies. Now, I have to decorate them in order to make them more festive. I will try to make my cookies look like the beautiful cookies of the photos above. I will do my best and I will inform you for the result!!!  :)

Sunday Morning Tales

The ideal place to spend some days during Christmas holidays. I imagine myself in this tiny, wood house with good company near the fireplace gazing this amazing view of the snowy lake!!!

Christmas Countdown - 10 days

We still have only 10 days until Christmas and everywhere there is the holiday spirit... Little children are writing their letters to the Santa Claus asking him the gifts they are wishing for.
This year I think that all of us, we ought to 'write' our letter to the Santa asking him giving us strength to solve the problems we are facing everyday as a nation and fill our hearts with love and tranquility, bring us family love, good friends and physical and mental health of course!
Let's hang our stockings by the fireplace and waiting for receiving our gifts...

Christmas Countdown - 11 days

Today, I'm gonna show you my home's Christmas decoration! As I have said you in a previous post, my favorite colors for Christmas is the combination of red, pine green and gold of course! So, everything is decorated in those tree colors; the Christmas tree is full of glass and papier mache balls, little stars, angels, handmade ornaments and some sweets. The lanterns beside the door are simply decorated with some festive ribbons and near them, there are some handmade (by me) garlands and bulbs hanging from the ceiling. And then, a simple and so easy to made festive centerpiece (a glass vase full of pine cones and in its base a Christmas wreath, all made by me too...) decorates the dining table. And what about my little sweet Santa over the closet who wants desperetely to see some snow during Christmas? :)
Now, I feel ready to start tomorrow the preparations for some Christmas sweets... I'm planning to make the traditional greek melomakarona, kourampiedes (the two most consumed sweets during holidays in Greece) and some Christmas gingerbread cookies!!! Mmm... I can't wait! I adore the time of sweets' preparation as the house is filled with amazing smells!
What do you plan for the weekend?

Christmas Countdown - 12 days

When purple is combined with turquoise and green they can create an extremely atmospheric and far away from the usual Christmas decoration...
I loved the idea of using ornaments in the living room's main colors, as the couche's turquoise and the carpet's purples and greens  for the space's festive decoration!!!
