Outdoor Lounging Area

Create atmospheric outdoor lounging areas in order to enjoy your summer evenings & nights as best as you can... I really adored the splash of yellow (used in pillows, numerous candles and sunflowers), the extra cozy built-in sofa, the enormous coffee table constructed of old beams and of course the original handmade chandelier by paper pulp!!!

Summer Adventures II

These few days we spent in Naxos were enough to understand the beauty of this unique island... Unfortunately, we didn't have so much time to do everything we want, but with a proper management of our time, we achieved a lot! Firstly, sightseeing the amazing old town, then discover some mountain villages* and of course delight those wonderful beaches with the  turquoise crystal waters which lie behind the amazing sand dunes with the white sand... Ohh, it was an unforgettable week! It is a blessing to be in such wonderful places, swimming on those 'tropical', cold waters, sunbathing under the hot sun while the light breeze of the Aegean refresh your body.

Repurposing Old Furniture

I 'm really in love with all those old classic consoles which are painted in a more modern or abstract way (as the console of the photo), in order to be a part of a contemporary or country home... They can be transformed in unique decorative pieces, according to the personality and the imagination of their owners! I have a similar repurposed furniture in my home and I am so proud of it, because I had the pleasure to give it  its new style by myself with the help of my father in some technical matters. I will show you my creation in a future post. It' s a promiss...

Living in an old little store

Delphine Pariente, jewelry designer, decided to settle down in a nice little shop in the Marais. Vintage furniture, antique curiosities, unique pieces repurposed as tables, large letters hanging on the wall, console style Eiffel found on e-bay, Asian lanterns, theater seating, ancient sculpture stairs and floors by old handmade ceramic tiles ....
All those elements create a really beautiful home with an artistic touch!

Mexican Bathroom

What a lovely bathroom! Its design is far away from the usual... All the surfaces are covered with cement, except the master wall of shower which is lined with pebbles. The sink constitutes a particular point of interest as it is a repurposed trough from a local farmer. It even has a notch where the little lambs used to drink with the bigger sheep. It is really so lovely.... I would like to have a similar bathroom in my future home!
