After a long period of rainy days, finally Spring is oficially here with a wonderful sunny day... Today, I would like to be in the country side, lounging in this super comfy makeshift sofa, gazind at the sea view from the hillside and enjoying the warmth of the sun with my friends!

Tainaron Blue Retreat

In the southernmost geographical point of mainland Europe, in the Cape Tainaron in Greece, a beautiful restored 19th century stone tower, has been transformed into a luxury traditional hotel which has lately opened its doors to the public.

It is situated in a unique place where the rough rocky landscape meets the tranquillity of the sea and the endless sky. 

What I loved most about it, is its bold stone walls combined with cement surfaces, wood in its natural color and contemporary design furnitures.

Outdoor Bathtub

After a tough day in work, the only thing I could think is a relaxing bubble bath with essential oils, accompanied by soothing music and a glass of cool moscato d' Asti under the stars, letting the evening breeze refreshing my body!!! Really... Would you like to have an outdoor bathtub? I 'd love to have one!!! Especially this of the fifth photo...

Outdoor Lounging Area

Create atmospheric outdoor lounging areas in order to enjoy your summer evenings & nights as best as you can... I really adored the splash of yellow (used in pillows, numerous candles and sunflowers), the extra cozy built-in sofa, the enormous coffee table constructed of old beams and of course the original handmade chandelier by paper pulp!!!

This shady corner is the ideal place to continue your Sunday, after having spent a good amount of hours tanning under the hot summer sun... 

This combination of a tranquil outdoor in white hues surrounded by bougainvilleas in vivid fuchsia (they are in their best this time of year) and pines, offering an amazing view of the sea, is the place I am dreaming to spend my Sunday summer noons! I think there is nothing better of relaxing in an outdoor like this, reading your favorite book while feeling the breeze and hearing the sounds of the nature... The ultimate relaxation after a hard week! 

And far the best meal for a hot day, couldn't be anything else than a delicious Greek salad with enough feta cheese, extra virgin olive oil, fresh oregano and freshly baked bread...

An aquatic nook in the garden

You don't have to have a little pond in your garden in order to grow water plants. All you need is sun, a little outdoor space, a container and a lot of imagination...

Bright nights

As the weather becomes better each day, we tend to spend more time outdoor... Personally,  I love to spend my evenings in my balcony, enjoying the romantic atmosphere created by the candles I light up among the plants in different size lanterns and the retro floor lamp I have placed in a corner! This year, I plan to add some festive string lights too, as I find them amazing for outdoor spaces, especially for gardens! I believe that they add some magic to the hot summer nights , making them sparkle in the deep dark when the sun goes down... DIY: Torch Bottles

For years I used to collect old liquor bottles, as many of them have such a unique design and color that it was too hard for me to part with them... I love to use them as candle holders or to store on them my handmade liquors, juices & flavored olive oil with mediterranean herbs. I use to make every year my own limoncello, lemonade & flavor virgin olive oil from our family olive groves with fresh cut herbs from my mini balcony garden. 

Today, I discovered a new inspired way to repurpose my empty liquor bottles... I am so enthusiastic with the idea of turning them to torch bottles! I find it such a lovely decorative item for our balconies which will accompanies our Spring and Summer warm nights... You can find a how to do it tutorial on Sugar & Charm. Try it, it's so easy!!!

Indoor Porches

I am so obsessed with indoor porches... I love the idea of bringing the outdoor inside and have the opportunity to enjoy it all year long. Whether it's a four-season, enclosed or sunroom, your porch can become an inviting and relaxing gathering spot. A room with floor to ceiling windows which allow the sun rays invade the space, brighten it, warm it and generally gives it a fresh and airy feeling. Personally, if I had one, I will fill it with interior plants in lovely ceramic pots in order to feel nearest to the nature and I will choose a super cozy sofa combined with rattan garden furniture so as to reinforce the sense of being outdoor!

Can you imagine something better than sitting in this lovely balcony in Serifos island with good company, gazing at the deep blue of the Aegean sea and tasting delicious seafood and fresh fish (as the custom is for Palm Sunday),while drinking a glass of cold raki?

Finally, today is a perfect sunny Sunday... It is a good opportunity going outside and let the warmth of the sun rays make us happy!!!  I 'd really loved it, to have a long lunch with my beloved ones  in this romantic courtyard... Happy Sunday my friends! :)
