A small classic apartment turned into a contemporary space. The use of classic materials such as wood and marble combined perfectly with the bold colors of the walls, the minimal design in the kitchen and the modern lighting fixtures.

My home's renovation...
This is the season that every year I am in the mood of making some changes on my home's decoration... Especially this year, the desire for changes was more intense for me.
So, I was planning some changes in the color of the walls, some addings in the furniture or rearranging the decoration of some spaces.
Firstly, I wanted so much to renovate my bedroom giving it a romantic accent and making it more cozy and hospitable... and then I felt that it was the right time to put some fresh air in my living room. The space where we spend many hours each day...
I was really happy when I discovered Photowall Sweden, where I found out the perfect wallpapers for my home.
I chose a romantic vintage floral wallpaper for the bedroom, which fits perfectly with the decoration of the room and a watercolor like wallpaper in green hues for the living room, which totally matched with the ethnic pendant lights and the rustic coffe table.
I am so excited with the result!!! I had never put up a wallpaper before, but the video tutorial and the clear instructions helped me get the perfect result.
If you like it too and you are in the mood for some changes in your home's decoration, you can now take your own Photowall wallpapers with an exclusive discount of 25% on their complete selection, using the code ideabygs2021, for a whole month, as much as you want!!

Hillside Apartment
Located in London, this wonderful apartment was designed by Turner Pocock. Inspired by the large garden in front of the property and the natural light which invades from the enormous windows, the design based on a natural scheme with layers of green throughout, using a mix of new and old, luxurious and industrial furniture and fixings, creating a fresh eclectic interior...

Tiny Contemporary Apartment
This tiny yet so cute apartment of 40sm, is located in the region of ancient Kiev. After its renovation by Elena Fateeva, the apartment was transformed into a dreamy space of contemporary design with a vintage appeal due to its off white brick walls in the living room.... Although its small size, it looks like a spacious apartment due to the correct space utilization.

Black apartment with white hues
Could you ever live in a totally black apartment? I generally love dark colors but I couldn't imagine I could live in a space painted in black color until I first saw this overall black apartment! Especially the kitchen caught my attention...The combination of the white counter and its black surrounding is just perfect and those black handmade tiles are really lovely!!!

A tiny apartment in Stockholm
This small yet stylish flat is located in the heart of Stockholm... It is just 34m2 but it looks so spacious because of its great optimum use of space! The white color used on the walls, on the kitchen cabinetry & the doors, combined with the off-white & light grey hues of the furniture & the linens, help the natural light which invades from the three large windows of its facade give us the impression of a larger flat. Then, its glass divider gives the bedroom an airy & spacious appeal while it offers to the flat a contemporary look.

Tiny apartment full in comfort
This is an apartment to be in love with, designed by INT2architecture. It is so tiny yet so comfortable with clever solutions for storage and such a juvenile approach to the decoration! The white exposed brick walls in the living room remind us of a loft in New York and help the light which invades from the wide window brighten the whole space and make it seems bigger... What I loved most about this tiny, cozy apartment is its dividing wall between kitchen and living room which is fully operational on both sides. Then, I adored the blackboard shelving system combined perfectly with the natural pine wood cabinet... They both creating a very interesting point of view which breaks the monochromy of white and add an industrial touch. Finally, I found perfect the wood patterned tiles in the kitchen wall. If you like them you can make some by yourselves. It is really such an easy affair... I promise, I will saw you the way in a future post.

Scandinavian Apartment with Mid Century Touches
An old apartment in Stockholm was fully renovated by its owners who achieved to transform it into a totally modern one while respecting the original features... According to the Scandinavian design all the surfaces (walls, floor, ceiling, kitchen cabinets) are painted in white while there are a lot of furniture, accessories and fabrics in black. Some interesting additions of Mid Century touches, as the two sofas in the living room and the small wooden showcase, give the air of another era in the apartment. What I love also about this home is the art wall created in the long white wall in black & white designs and then the existence of small pots with plants almost everywhere!

Living Room: Floor to Ceiling Windows
I love so much the floor to ceiling windows!!! They allow the sun light to warm the place and they give us the impression that the surroundings is an extension of our living room. I am dreaming of a future home with a big ceiling high window which will offers me a breathtaking view to the sea....

Black & White Living Room
A bright and fresh living room.... I like the use of white color as a canvas with a touch of black in some furniture and decorative items. You are blessed if you have a living room with such a big window which allows the sun to fill the space with its warmth and light.
Then, with simple furniture, a lot of inspiration and some accessories you can transform the room to a wonderful living room. A cozy white sofa with an ottoman is ideal for relaxing after a hard day, a simple black rustic coffee table with a tray on it, full of aromatic candles and a vase with fresh flowers to create a romantic atmosphere, a handmade wool stripped kelim to keep you warm and a black & white "LOVE" pillow to remind you that love is everything in our life!!! :)

Modern Apartment in Brazil
Modern, bright and airy could be the right words to describe this apartment located in Brazil. Its design is based in fresh ideas, using clear lines in construction and furniture so as to have a modern result. The main colors used here-white, grey and beige-in combination with the high ceiling in the living room give the impression that the apartment is bigger enough from its original scheme. The enormous floor to ceiling window let the natural light invade the space and highlight the carefully chosen elements placed on that huge and tall storage wall which is also a light divider between living room and working area! The "monotony" of neutral white, grey and beige breaks with the use of some decorative objects and furniture in black or extremely vivid colors as fuchsia or orange. A brilliant idea is the use of a colorful combination of tiles in various models and colors that creates an interactive and funny space in the minimalist kitchen.
