Colourful Home in Symi
An old house in Symi was transformed into a wonderful summer home for a family from abroad. The combination of the stone walls with the pastel colors and the cotto tiles on the floor make it a unique destination for the summer holidays!

Folder: Bathroom
This bathroom could be part of a traditional Greek island home... I love the unrefined plaster on the stone walls, the cement screeds on the floor with the inserts pebbles in its edges and the raw wood ceiling!!! In addition, its minimal decoration is amazing; a simple branch of tree on the wall is used as a towel hanger. The white linen drapes give some extra romanticism in the space!

Sunday Morning Tales
As the weather becomes day by day warmer, my mind travels to Greek islands, where I use to spend my holidays every year! I think that this year it is stronger the need of escaping from everyday life, in a small paradise of Cyclades, walking through the narrow streets insouciant and then staying in the beach for hours, reading my favorite book and feeling the sea breeze....

DIY: Hanging Planters
I love so much having hanging potted plants in front of my windows or in my balcony... There are a lot of lovely hanging planters that you can buy around the internet but if you like creating things by yourself, it is so simple for you to transorm a nice pot into a wonderful hanging planter. Here is a photo tutorial, which I found in Drifter & the Gypsy , on how you can make it in a very easy way!!! You will need only some thin, nylon rope in the color of your choice, scissors, a pot and some plants.
Here are some other lovely hanging planters which I found today on Etsy and you can easily buy them, if you don't like to make one with your own hands. They are both so inspired and excellent decorative items for your space!!! You can find them here and there.

Spring is officially here!
Today is officially the first day of Spring and as you can see all the fields in the countryside are full of the beautiful colors of flowers. I think that there is no reason to say something else.... Just look at that pictures and imagine yourself among of all those daisies and anemones! I know that if I were there I would picking a big bouquet of anemones, in order to fill all the vases in my home, as it is my favorite wild flower and reminds me of my childhood when I was going with my mom in the mountain to pick these amazing flowers!!!
p.s.: A big thanks to my friend Effie who gave me the three first pictures.

Folder: Living Room
Living rooms with seatings that naturally stand out... I always love the leather sofas as I think that there is something special about them; It comes from their natural look and texture and the way they become better and better as the years goes by!!! Soft, overstuffed pieces are more inviting and give an aura of relaxed comfort while on the other hand the sharp lines of Scandinavia and Italy make a more dramatic statement of sophistication and class. It's up to you to decide what you like more!

Sunday Morning Tales
Today is the last day of the Carnival and a lot of festivals take place all over the Greece. People wear funny costumes and participate in street parties dancing in the rhythm of carnival music till dawn. It is also the day of eating delicious meat snacks and drinking a lot... Have a nice Sunday with a lot of fun!!!
p.s.: In the photo you can see two traditional Carnival masks from the region of Naoussa in Greece. They are hand maded, constructed by papier mache or wood. During carnival period the custom of "Boules" (men dressed in traditional costumes and masks) revives and the whole city drinks and dances in the streets!

Folder: Kitchen
A kitchen which combines succesfully two different styles; the industrial with the country one! Red brick walls, metallic openings and raw wooden floor (constructed by long boards which look like reused crates) cuddle in a warm way the country style cabinets and the white wooden ceiling.

Folder: Living Room
I am really in love with this living room designed by the interior stylist Emma Thomas. By using simple in design furniture in the tones of gray and white and adding some hues of tile color in the curtains and some pillows, she achieves to create an amazing interior.

Folder: Dining Room
A minimal dining area in total white seems so cozy with the addition of some classical pieces, as the mirror with the golden frame and the grandma's chandelier!
