Stylish family home in Hamburg
A couple live with
its son in this two-level home in Hamburg, Germany. As they are fans of
the '60s design, they decorated their home combining contemporary
pieces with vintage finds. They also achieved to salvage the oak floors
to the whole house, which are originals from 1967. On the other hand,
they choose a totally contemporary kitchen in black matte color which
creates an interesting contrast with the vintage floor and the walls'
absolute white. The pieces I love most in this house are the black Eames chairs of the dinning and the white one in the home office as well as
the Tom Dixon's pendant lights... I really would like a set of them in my
dinning room!!! And finally what about this unique in design cradle in the nursery?

Folder: Kitchen
I like so much when a kitchen has the architectural advantage of a large window above of its cabinets... Especially, when the window allows us to enjoy a wonderful view! In this kitchen I am in love with the shelves placed in front of the window that help you place on them pots with plants and other decorative objects or some kitchenware. I would place a lot of tin and ceramic pots with aromatic plants and herbs in order to use them when I cook....

Life is Beautiful
Our office is the place where we spend a big part of our day... So, it must be a pleasant space, with decorative elements that will help us be more creative and happy.I feel that the message of the canvas above the office desk is the best message to have in front of your eyes while you are working in order to be more inspired!!!

A Charming House in Costa Brava
In Costa Brava, Spain, it is situated this fascinating rustic house! As it is mostly a summer house, emphasis has been given in its outdoor spaces... I like the cozy built-in seating area near the pool and the large rustic dinning table with the benches in the semi outdoor area near the BBQ. Stone walls, cotto tiles, cement and raw wooden beams gives a charming note to the house, bringing thoughts of old Mediterranean mansions!

Sunday Morning Tales
A wonderful video created by Emmanouil Papadopoulos for the city of Athens!!!
Through
his eyes we can see Athens as a whimsical little great city where we
want to invade and live forever... The music of Gustavo Sasntaolalla is
perfectly matching with this unique video!

A Serene Loft
Today, we are going to visit the loft of a yoga teacher in Belgium. Influenced by her work Elsie, the loft owner, chose natural materials in her loft's decoration, in order to create a cozy and warm space! Wood dominates in all spaces; both on the floor and in furniture, always in its natural color so as to bring to our mind connotations by nature... The color used in the majority of spaces is the white and off-white. The only room painted in dark color is the loft's entryway and the bedroom, where the sweet and natural color of chocolate makes the room totally atmospheric and offers a calm and cozy environment to relax and sleep peacefully. The use of white leather couch, daybed and white plastic Panton chairs, give a modern touch to the Country Chic environment that the raw wooden furniture create. In general, the atmosphere is as calm and relaxed as in a yoga studio... You can swinging in the hammock, listening music, wafting from the bottom. Exactly what someone needs for a harmonious life!!!

A modern home built in a monastery ruins
In the ruins of a 12th century monastery, situated in a tiny village in Provence France, Roger Anger (a well known French architect) created a unique modern home! He restored the medieval architectural elements of the building (the old brickwork, arches and columns) and he combined then with 18th and 19th century antiques, selected mid century classics and modern materials as steel, glass and cement.
The result is unique... I love so much the contrast of the antique furniture behind the modern dining table with the Eames chairs in the dining room(image 1). I would like also have the opportunity to sit in the Eames lounge chair(image 3), which fits perfectly with the medieval surrounding of the room and gazing for hours at this breathtaking view which is offered from the enormous windows...
