Marsala - Pantone Color of the Year 2015

Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this hearty yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors. Dramatic and at the same time grounding, the rich and full-bodied red-brown Marsala brings color warmth into home interiors. Marsala is the color of the year 2015, recommended by Pantone.

A sofa in Marsala color fits perfectly with earthy hues & natural materials, giving a vivid touch to the space.

If you would like to give a more sophisticated aspect to your space, don't hesitate to paint a wall in that amazing color, combining it with grey or earthy hues. On the other hand, for a more modest result you can just use Marsala only in decorative items and linens in order to add a special personality to your room.

Personally, I would highly recommend Marsala to be used as the theme color for a winter wedding. I think that it fits perfectly with greeneries, succulents and every off-white, ivory or soft pink flower.
