Return to the Roots

For another time we are going to Antiparos, in order to explore a wonderful little home. The architect Fania Sinanioti following the desire of the homeowners, to built a small summer home that harmonizes well with the island's nature, achieved to design a house of 60s.m. combining in a perfect way tradition with the contemporary way of life, emphasizing the simplicity that fits to the physical scenery.

When the inside becomes one with the outside

Following the steps of a traditional home called "katikia" in Antiparos, the Architect Katerina Vordoni designed a summer home of 60s.m., which offers a carefree summer life in a family.

In the little brother of Paros island, Antiparos, a couple discovered its own heaven and chose consciously that doesn' t matter the quantity but the quality.

The layout of the home has shaped according to the letter "Π" of Greek alphabet. Most rooms communicate with each other through the yard, just like old traditional houses in Antiparos.

 In that way, the center of the house, where all members of the family gather, is its yard with the cool shade of the olive tree during the hot days and the fabulous starry sky when the dark is coming.  

All those seem to my mind as images and moments of a summer scenery far away from everything.

An apartment with a really cheerful mood, thanks to its homeowner who loves vivid colors, didn't afraid to combine different styles and added a lot of ethnic pieces that has bought traveling around the world.

Colorful Apartment

For another time, we see the combination of different styles. This time we have a colorful combination of two extremely different styles. Modern chair and side table with my big love, which is nothing other than a wonderful Chinese hand-painted cabinet. I really adore the coexistence of turquoise and fuchsia touches in total white background.

Restored Oil Mill in Majorca

It' s time to make a virtual trip to Majorca, in order to visit a wonderful rural home. During the ages, since the 1700's that is built, it was used firstly as an inn, then as a winery and an oil mill and finally was abandoned, until Architect Durval Dias Junior discovered it and decided to restore it, so as to give it back its lost glory, with a new use this time. A wonderful residence.

 

He absolutely respected the building and he tried to preserve the original stone, the staircase and the arches. The furnishings consists of newer pieces mixed with a vintage industrial touch. Black, white and red are combined perfect with a calm palette of natural colors and materials as wood, stone, iron and concrete.

Italian Summer Home

Ένα σπίτι απόλυτα εναρμονισμένο με το φυσικό τοπίο που το περιβάλλει, χτισμένο σε λιτή γραμμή, με φυσικά υλικά όπως πέτρα και ξύλο και ακανόνιστο σοβά βαμμένο σε τόνους του λευκού. Ένας χώρος φιλόξενος, δημιουργημένος με πολύ αγάπη, βασισμένος στη λιτότητα και την αγνότητα που διακατείχε τις παλιές  αγροικίες της Μεσογείου.

Είναι εξοπλισμένο με τα απολύτως απαραίτητα έπιπλα, που σχεδιάστηκαν αποκλειστικά και μόνο για τις ανάγκες του συγκεκριμένου χώρου, καθώς επίσης και κάποια λινά υφάσματα και μαξιλάρια που παραπέμπουν σε παλιά υφαντά.

Life Full of Colors

Υπάρχουν τόσα όμορφα χρώματα γύρω μας, που μερικές φορές δεν ξέρουμε ποιός θα είναι ο ιδανικότερος συνδυασμός για να χρησιμοποιήσουμε στη διακόσμηση του σπιτιού μας.

 

Το να χρησιμοποιήσουμε ζωντανά χρώματα στο χώρο μας, μπορεί να είναι λίγο 'επικίνδυνο', όσον αφορά το αποτέλεσμα, αν δεν έχουμε στο πλευρό μας κάποιον ειδικό για να μας συμβουλέψει. Όμως είναι μια υπέροχη ιδέα για μια καλοκαιρινή εξοχική κατοικία ή για ένα νεανικό διαμέρισμα. Τολμήστε το και το αποτέλεσμα θα σας αποζημιώσει!!!

Ionian Paradise

Μεταφερόμαστε νοερά στην Κέρκυρα, για να επισκεφτούμε μία κατοικία με καθαρά μεσογειακό στυλ. Πέτρινοι τοίχοι, στέγες με κεραμίδια, μονοπάτια στρωμένα με χαλίκι, πεζούλια για τη διαμόρφωση του περιβάλλοντα χώρου, φυτεμένα με λουλούδια, θάμνους και αρωματικά φυτά της Μεσογείου και μια υπέροχη θέα που εστιάζει στο απέραντο γαλάζιο του Ιονίου Πελάγους.
